"Whether they’re developing a new business on an existing farm, or starting out on their own, young people work long hours for years to make their businesses a success"

A new award for ‘New Entrant Farm Business of the Year’ is being offered this autumn to farmers, crofters and smallholders across the UK. The European Commission-funded NEWBIE project (New Entrant netWork: Business models for Innovation, entrepreneurship and resilience in European agriculture) is offering the award to new entrants in 8 European countries, as part of a suite of opportunities aiming to help new entrants network and develop successful businesses.
