High Performance Computing and Data Sharing - Virtual Workshop

Aims of the workshop: (1) Train users in collaborative best-practices for the analysis of large and complex datasets using high-performance computing (HPC). (2) Develop plans for making scientific data more widely accessible and explorable, following FAIR data principles and supporting the wider Open Science agenda. The workshop will be delivered using a video conferencing platform and combine short talks, practical sessions and discussions. Tomnah’a is run by Cristy Gilbert, Sam Parry and Judith McGowan and some dedicated volunteers and sells fruit, veg and flowers directly to customers through a community supported agriculture

Food habits in the time of COVID-19 – experiences and adaptation

In the last year, we have been able to flexibly adapt our research in order to react to the evolving COVID-19 situation. We collected data in both the early (first) ‘lockdown’ (May 2020) and then as the local restrictions in Aberdeen City began to be eased and schools went back after the summer break (‘post-lockdown’; August 2020). All study participants completed 7-day diaries, documenting their consumption of foods and drinks over a week.
